Who we are
This shop is operated by BookishMuse. When this page says "I" or "my", it means the shop. When it says "you", it means you, the customer.
By using this site or placing an order, you agree to what is written here.
Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. An order is accepted when I send you an order confirmation by email. Until then, I can decline or cancel any order, including after payment, for example if an item is no longer available, if the price was listed wrong, or if the order looks fraudulent. If I cancel a paid order, you get a full refund.
You must be at least 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to order.
Prices
Prices are shown in the currency of your country. Shipping is added at checkout and shown before you pay.
I can change prices at any time. The price that applies to your order is the one shown when you place it.
If a price is obviously wrong, for example a bundle listed at a fraction of its real price, I can cancel the order and refund you rather than honour the mistake.
What is in a mystery box
Mystery boxes and bundles contain a set number of items, stated on each product page. The specific items are chosen by me and are not disclosed before opening. Colors, patterns, and designs vary between batches, so what arrives will not be an exact copy of the product photo. This is the nature of the product and is not a defect.
Payment
Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify's payment providers. I never see or store your full card details.
Shipping and delivery
Covered in the Shipping policy. Risk of loss passes to you once the parcel is handed to the carrier, but if a parcel goes missing in transit, contact me and I will chase it.
Returns
Covered in the Refund policy. Because every box is put together individually, all sales are final.
Your account
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details private and for anything done through your account.
Content on this site
All photos, text, and designs on this site are mine or are used with permission. You may not copy, resell, or use them commercially without written permission.
Reviews on this site were written by customers. By leaving a review, you allow it to be shown publicly on this site and in marketing.
What you may not do
Do not use this site to break the law, to interfere with how it works, to scrape it in bulk, or to place fraudulent orders.
No guarantees beyond what the law requires
The site is provided as it is. I do not guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. Nothing here removes any right you have under consumer law in your country.
Limits
To the extent the law allows, my liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order.
Changes
I can update these terms. The version on this page at the time of your order is the one that applies to it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the shop is established, and any dispute goes to the courts of that country. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
